Christopher Draper joined BayBio in 2006 as Director of Public Policy. He has a background in government relations, political advocacy and policy analysis. He previously worked on the government relations staff for the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors® where he dealt with issues involving land use, transportation, taxation and regulatory policies. He also held responsibilities regarding member mobilization, candidate endorsements, and political strategy. As an advocate for the real estate industry, Chris served as a key point of contact between local elected officials and industry representatives on a variety of issues.

Chris also has a background in campaign work with experiences on a multiple electoral and issues based campaigns where his work focused on message development and campaign strategy.

Additionally, Chris worked on Kerry for President Campaign in Michigan focusing on communications. He began his political career as an intern for the House Rules Committee and House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt. He is a graduate with honors from UC San Diego where he received a BA in Political Science.
