Juan N Walterspiel MD is native to La Paz, Bolivia. He graduated summa cum laude from the Technische Universitaet Medical School in Munich Germany. He did his pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. He was a Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He is ABP board certified in Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases with practitioners licenses for the European Union and the states of GA, TX and CA. Dr. Walterspiel’s academic career encompassed professorships at UT, Emory and Yale. Dr. Walterspiel served as International Clinical Leader at Hoffmann-La Roche, Medical Director at Pfizer and VP for clinical Research & Development at two start-up companies. He fulfills his commitment to the health sciences and medical care at Stanford University and the free RotaCare clinic in Half Moon Bay CA. He works as independent consultant to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry.
