Since 1998, Fred has also been President and CEO of Product Success, Inc., a global service provider for the product development community with the initial target in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Medical Devices market. Through his management, he built value by attracting a reputable Fortune 500 executive team, developed strategic partnerships and sold the company in the midst of a globally declining business environment.
Prior to Product Success, Inc., he was CEO of Fidus Medical Technology, a leading developer of a catheter-based, microwave ablation system for treatment of major cardiac arrhythmias. Fidus later was named AFx inc. and acquired by Guidant Corporation.
Prior to AFx Inc., Fred was the CEO for four years of Medical Computer Imaging, Inc., a cardiovascular diagnostic company. He was also co-founder of Microwave Coagulum Treatment (MCT), a company dedicated to the treatment of breast tumors. MCT has since merged with Vivant Medical Technologies.
Fred has a proven track record in achieving collaborative outcomes from a cadre of culturally diverse technical and business teams, and has created a record of excellent operational and financial performance.
Fred is past chairman of ASME/American Society of Mechanical Engineering, Santa Clara Valley Section. Fred currently serves on the Boards of Directors of several private companies and non-profit agencies. Since 2002, he has served as Chairman of the APL Foundation.
Fred has authored a book titled Engineering Functions Concerning Industry, published by Vantage Press, New York. Fred is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Management Program, Stanford Business School. He also holds an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University, as well as a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering, both from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
