Helen Selenati is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Coach. In her coaching practice she specializes in transforming technical talent into dynamic leaders and managers. Her focus is on the biotech and pharmaceutical industries where she helps scientists and engineers build their leadership skills and develop a strategic focus. As a therapist, she specializes in helping adolescents and adults with ADHD issues and clients struggling with substance abuse and other addictive behaviors. She has a private practice in Redwood City.
Before coming to the US in 1989, Helen lived in South Africa where she practiced as a pharmacist for 10 years before earning an MBA and entering the corporate world. For 15 years she held positions in marketing, communications and business development for medical device, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
Often life’s circumstances require us to make accommodations in response to changes in our work environment, personal circumstances, or our own interests and developmental needs. When we are offered such an opportunity to reinvent ourselves we are given a chance to follow our dream and create the life we want.
To transform our dreams into reality we need the courage to turn fear and doubt into hope and possibilities, followed by action and results. First we must be clear about our purpose, intension, and integrity. The next step is to turn our dream into specific projects with appropriate strategies and schedules.
