Winnie Wan, PhD, is the founder of a newly funded bio-analytical system company, Aria Biosystems, Corp. Winnie has more than 20 years of experience in building and managing startup and established companies in therapeutic and diagnostic business. She has held positions as CEO, board director, president, general manager and vice president in those companies. She was most recently the founder, president and CEO of Genetrol Biotherapeutics (1997-2002), a venture-backed biopharmaceutical company. Previously, she held executive positions, including the President of the Cellular Imaging Systems Division, at Becton Dickinson (1991-1996), founding Board Director of Guava Technologies, Inc. ( 1997-2001) and the first executive of Systemix (1988-1990). Her other management positions include those at Hana Biologics, and Baxter Travenol etc. Winnie received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from Yale University, MBA from Columbia University and a BA with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Skidmore College.
