Global Prior Art, headquartered in Boston, has been supporting law firms and companies in the patent search & analysis for 25 years. As Senior Vice President in charge of Life Sciences, Dr. Sewack oversees the activities of the Medical Device, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Divisions at Global (GPA) including the Strategic IP Management Practice. Dr. Sewack has been with GPA for over 6 years and previously managed the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Division at Global. Dr. Sewack has been an invited speaker at multiple conferences to discuss the importance of leveraging IP information in making strategic business decisions. Representative conferences include the Licensing Executives Society (LES) and Patent Information Users Group (PIUG) annual meetings, Cambridge Healthtech Institute's Biotech Start-Up Conference and The Center for Business Intelligence’s Brand Defense & Lifecycle Management for Mature Drugs. Dr. Sewack received a BA in Biology from John Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Developmental Biology from Harvard University. Dr. Sewack has authored numerous scientific articles.
